Received Grants:

In 2009 the CLDC in partnership with the Village of Clayton was awarded the Restore NY III grant.  This grant was aimed at vacant and underused properties in a downtown area.  The CLDC & Village application secured 1.2 million dollars to help rebuild the former Golden Anchor site and the rehabilitate the R.J. Marine building.

The CLDC and Town of Clayton have received numerous grants since the CLDC’s creation.  The majority of those grants were used on the assessment and remediation of the Frink Property.  Other grants have been received to:

  • Plan, design and construct the Frink phase of the Clayton Riverwalk.  The NY Department of State awarded Clayton $300,000 to complete the first phase of the Riverwalk.
  • Use professional land planners to determine the best uses for the Frink property and the community.  NY Department of State  awarded Clayton $35,000 for this project.
